GENERAL VOLUNTEERS & LOYOLA MAMS

 

THE ROLE

  • Greet and assist patients, visitors, and families in a friendly and professional manner

  • Help with front desk tasks such as check-in, directing patients, and answering general questions

  • Provide administrative support, including filing, organizing documents, and preparing materials

  • Assist in maintaining clean, organized, and welcoming common areas

  • Support clinic staff with non-clinical tasks and special projects as needed

  • Translate/Interpret

  • Take patients to assigned rooms

  • Remind patients of their upcoming testing procedures and necessary documents

  • Assist in performing retinal examination on diabetic and pre-diabetic patients

  • Ensure patient privacy and confidentiality at all times

EXPECTATIONS

Volunteers at our medical clinic play an important role in supporting daily operations and enhancing the overall patient experience. This position is ideal for individuals interested in healthcare, community service, or gaining exposure to a clinical environment.

CLINICAL EXPOSURE:
While volunteers are not directly involved in medical care or procedures, there may be occasional opportunities to observe or shadow clinicians. These experiences are dependent on clinic needs, staff availability, and patient consent, and are intended to provide insight into healthcare careers.
