Amelia de Landa is a 25 year old administrative volunteer at
the clinic and in early 2009 she contacted the Jenny Jones
Foundation requesting a donation. She requested $5,000
to purchase an ultrasound machine and other equipment
for use by the clinic's volunteer gynecologists. Many of
the clinic's patients have not had thorough gynecological
checkups for years. On March 25th, Jenny Jones called
the clinic and announced to a shocked Amelia that the
request was honored! We are grateful to have an
industrious volunteer such as Amelia. The Jenny Jones
Foundation grant is a great accomplishment. This machine
will last for year and benefit many women who might not
