“Opening Doors” 2009 Benefit Chicago Shakespeare Theater Skyline Room July 25, 2009
|
A warm and sincere thank you to all of you who participated in the “2009 Opening Doors Benefit.”
The “Skyline Room” located on the 6th floor of the Chicago Shakespeare Theater on Navy Pier allowed for great views of our incredible lake front, skyline and spectacular fire works display. A perfect ending to a well received event.
Your generous donations brought in slightly more than $23,000, funds needed to continue to keep our “Doors Open”.
In the face of the growing number of uninsured connected to unemployment and financial down turns, our efforts, supported by you, are making some measure of difference. We thank you for your support of this important work for the uninsured and underserved. You too are “Making a Difference” for the individuals Old Irving Park Community Clinic serves.
Thank you also to our generous contributors. Their in-kind donations made for an exciting and profitable silent auction.
The Fundraising Committee has a time frame for our next annual “Opening Doors Benefit”. The date will be a Saturday evening in early October, 2010. We are exploring the possibility of a night at the Museum. Look for updates in our first quarter 2010 Newletter.
